Chrysler Pacifica Reviews - Chrysler Pacifica Price, Photos, and

The Chrysler Town & Country is a high-end minivan that’s popular with large families since it offers easy entry and exit. Chrysler originally launched the Town & Country with the 1989 model year. The minivan is currently on its fifth generation, which started with the 2008 model year.
Buyers who look at the Town & Country might also consider its sister minivans, the Dodge Grand Caravan and Volkswagen Routan. The Honda Odyssey, Kia Sedona and Toyota Sienna are the Town & Country’s other big competitors.

Styles and Pricing

Chrysler offers the Town & Country minivan in three trim levels. The Touring model comes with standard features like 16-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate, automatic headlights, fog lights, automatic wipers, leather upholstery, Stow ‘n Go on the second row, power sliding doors, conversation mirror, rearview camera, a rear-seat DVD center and a six speaker sound system. The Touring-L adds features like 17-inch alloy wheels, auto-dimming side mirrors, parking sensors, remote ignition, second and third row window shades and heated front seats.
Limited models come with all of the same features plus power-fold side mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, xenon headlights, heated second row seats, heated steering wheel, Bluetooth, a Blu-Ray DVD system, navigation and a nine speaker sound system.
A Town & Country comes with a factory invoice of about $30, 300 for a Touring model and an MSRP of about $31, 700. The Touring-L trim level adds about $3, 000 to the vehicle’s MSRP while the Limited adds another $7, 000. Of course as a member you always receive an upfront price that includes guaranteed savings, as well as a no-hassle car buying experience at your Certified Dealer.

All trim levels of the Chrysler Town & Country are powered by the same 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces a maximum 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. A six speed automatic transmission and front-wheel-drive are also standard features. The EPA estimates the Town & Country’s fuel mileage to be 17 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg in mixed driving.

Interior Style and Features

Buyers can choose between either an all-black interior with grey accents or a beige interior with what Chrysler calls “frost” accents. Overall the interior has a high quality feel to it, with no large seams between interior parts. Buyers who opt for the Limited will find that the minivan’s interior is downright luxurious with incredibly soft leather seating surfaces and conveniences at every turn.
One of the big features of the Town & Country’s interior is the Stow ‘n Go seating, which allows owners to quickly fold the second row seats into the van’s floor, instead of having to remove them. When the seats are set upright, you can store all kinds of items in the floor compartments, which is a nice feature for long trips. Also, the DVD system has two screens, one for the second row and one for the third, so third row passengers aren’t squinting to watch their favorite movie.
Another ingenious feature in the Town & Country is how the third row can flip backwards without folding. With the tailgate up, you can climb up and sit on the third row seatbacks, making it a comfortable place to sit during tailgating or a convenient way to remove muddy shows outside before climbing into the minivan’s interior.
Still, the overall size of the Town & Country’s interior pales in comparison to the interiors found in competitors like the Honda Odyssey. Taller passengers will find that the third row is cramped both in legroom and headroom. Cargo capacity measures 33 cubic feet with all three rows up, but folding down all but the first row provides 143.8 cubic feet of cargo space.
